He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, John Zegers and Cora Zegers (Molenaar); his wife Ileen; his children, Murray, Judy Zegers, Brad, Michele Zegers, Tina and Brian Renaud; his grandchildren, Kelly, Matt Kauffman, Dan, Kelsie Zegers, Bailey Zegers (Ryan Schrimper), Baker Zegers, Scott, Alissa Bruggeman, Aaron, Morgan Renaud, Natalie Renaud and Gabrielle Renaud; his great grandchildren, Chris, Chase, Keyleigh Kauffman, Addison, Ellie Zegers, Kyla and Hollis Bruggeman; his brother Darrell; and his siblings-in-law, Millie, Howard De Penning, Roger and Bev Vander Zyl.
His father taught him at a young age to fix any motor and Wayne was still tinkering with motors when Parkinson's disease forced him to move out of his home of 45 years.
