He was predeceased by: his parents, Cornie Terpstra and Corrie Terpstra (Vonk); his wife Twila De Kock; his parents-in-law, William and Gertrude De Kock; his brothers, Loren Terpstra, Harris Terpstra and Stephen Terpstra; and his brother-in-law Bob De Ruiter.

He is survived by: his children, Wynette Terpstra of Maebashi and Devin Terpstra of Omaha, Nebraska.
