She was predeceased by: her parents, Frank "Pop" and Sarah Jane Gibson (Teasdale); her son-in-law Neal McMahon; her grandson Logan Higginbotham; and her siblings, Matthew, Robert Gibson and Virginia Overturf.
She is survived by: her husband Paul Higginbotham; her children, Alan Higginbotham (Carol) of Pella, Pam Moore (Chris) of Newton, Peg Mavin (Bob) of Olathe, Jane McMahon of Traer and Judy Nikkel (Randy) of Sully; and her grandchildren, Greg Higginbotham (Kim), Heidi Higginbotham, Todd Higginbotham (Kendra), Chase Higginbotham (Kayla Langstraat), Shari Westercamp (Tim), Shawna Van Zee (Eldon), Sharesa Van Arendonk (Jason), Melinda Dennis (Jim), Melissa Miller (Tom), Matthew Moore (Jessica), Scott Mavin (Jennifer), Jason Mavin, Erin McEwen (Eric), Jessica Maston (Brian), Emily Nikkel, Jodi Steinbach (Nick) and Kyle Nikkel (Alex Fangman). She is also survived by 45 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandson; and her niece and nephews.
