He is survived by: his parents, Delores (Beer) and John Thomas McFarland Sr.; his brothers, Christopher and Kevin; his fiancée Kim Avey of Stuart; his children, April Hewitt (Kevin) of Deltona, Lindsay Hess (Derrick) of Independence and Christopher Rochholz of Des Moines; his brothers, Kenny McFarland (Ellen) of Redfield, Jeff McFarland (Cindi) and Tom McFarland (Kerry) of Stuart; his parents-in-law, Chuck and Nadine Avey of Stuart; and his brothers-in-law, Chuck Avey (Isa) of Casey and Scott Avey of Casey. He is also survived by many grandchildren, great-grandchildren; "adopted" grandchildren, nieces, nephews.
