He was predeceased by: his parents, Wayne Alderson and Eva Opperman (Burgin); and his son Michael Alderson. He is survived by: his wife Deborah Alderson of Strawberry Point; his stepchildren, Tonya Hertenstein (Tim) of Arlington, Monte Casper (Paula) of Edgewood, Janell Sumner (Joe) of Grinnell, Kyle Casper (Julie) of Blair and Kari Phillips (Jeff) of Manchester; and his son David Alderson of Strawberry Point. He is also survived by grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
