He was predeceased by: his parents, Glenn Pugh and Marjorie Whittle (Burington); his wife Darlene Pugh; his children, Verla Darlene Pugh and Galen Lenard Pugh; his parents-in-law, Leonard and Catherine Anfinson (Bishop); his siblings, Glenola Himmel (Bud), Betty Hofer (Ben), Dorothy Cook and Kenneth Whittle (Jerree); and his brothers-in-law, Albert Friederich and Harold Popenhagen.
He is survived by: his son Calvin Pugh (Janann) of Strawberry Point; his grandsons, Andy Pugh (Tricia) of Evansdale, Anthony Pugh (Nicole) of Goffstown and Tim Pugh of Cedar Rapids; his great grandchildren, Ashley Pugh of Ames, Rachel Pugh of Evansdale, Annalise Pugh of Goffstown and Owen Pugh of Goffstown; his stepgranddaughter Michelle Stelken of Independence; his stepgreat-grandsons, Connor McCallen of Independence and Ian Stelken of Independence; his close friend Joan Bedient of Strawberry Point; his sisters, Anna Mae Friederich of Strawberry Point and Barbara White of Scottsville, Kentucky; and his siblings-in-law, Leone Popenhagen of Wadena, Kolleen Asaad of Danville, Illinois and Darrel Anfinson (Bonnie) of Cedar Rapids. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
