He was predeceased by: his parents, Paul Johanns and Elizabeth Johanns (Adams); his daughter Lori Ann Johanns; his brother Leonard Johanns; and his siblings-in-law, Bonnie Johanns, Cathy Johanns, Larry Ward and Laverne Tinkey.
He is survived by: his wife Donna Johanns of Manchester; his children, Jeff Johanns (Rose) of Braddyville, Chris Johanns (Brenda) of Fayette, Vicki Lindauer (Tim) of Manchester and Mike Johanns (Jenny) of Waunakee, Wisconsin; his siblings, Angeline Nolda of Lamont, Lawrence Johanns (Van) of Apple Valley, Therese Tinkey of Lamont, Leo Johanns (Jan) of Florence, Mary Adams (Harold Ritscher) of Keystone, David Johanns of Osage, Rita Hanke (Robert) of Little Cedar, Paul Johanns, Jr. (Vickie) of Cedar Rapids, Joe Johanns (Michelle) of Austin and Rose Decklever (Mike) of Frontenac, Minnesota; and his sister-in-law Terri Dudek (Dave) of Chatfield. He is also survived by 14 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren.
