He is survived by: his wife Connie South of Strawberry Point; his children, Shelby Swanson of Strawberry Point and Zach South of Iowa City; his grandchildren, Izabelle Hubbard and Ava Swanson; his sister Sherry Bigelow of Hazleton; and his sisters-in-law, Steve Funk of Edgewood, Julie Miller (Gene) of Dundee, Karen Perry of Strawberry Point and Kevin Funk (Teresa) of Edgewood. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
