He was predeceased by: his parents, Earl Sadler and Florence Sadler (Schlick); his parents-in-law, Ralph and Lorraine Kurt; his brother Robert Sadler; and his brothers-in-law, Charles Bertling and Randy Forte.
He is survived by: his wife Elaine Sadler of Strawberry Point; his children, Michele Dikkers (Steve) of Guttenberg, Michael Sadler (Sherry) of Center Point, Sarah Helle (Todd) of Tiffin, Brenda Naaktgeboren (Jason) of Center Point and Katie Taylor (Scott) of Swisher; his grandchildren, Courtney Peterson (Tom), Sebastian Sadler, Wyatt Sadler, Grant Helle, Lauren Helle, Morgan Helle, Josie Manson, Van Manson, Collin Naaktgeboren, Cameron Naaktgeboren, Adaline Taylor and Will Taylor; his siblings, Mary Bertling of Dyersville, Suzanne Blum (Al) of Peosta and John Sadler (Mary) of California, Maryland; and his siblings-in-law, Anna Mae Sadler of East Dubuque, Georgene Meyer, Joyce Kurt of Fruita, Janet Forte of Johnston and Steve Kurt of Hopkinton. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
