It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Junior Staton of Strawberry Point, Iowa, who passed away on July 19, 2021, at the age of 79, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Staton and Zeneata Staton (Sauer); his children, Jerry and Karen; his brother Frank; and his brother-in-law LeRoy Nickerson.
He is survived by: his former wife Susan Fox; his wife Carol Staton of Strawberry Point; his children, Joey Staton (Tammy) of Denver, Kimberley Briggs of Macomb, Stacy Staton (Jodi) of Raymond, Tracy Staton (Shelly) of Jesup, Anthony Arthur Staton of Masonville, Sherrie Ketcham (Rafael) of Cedar Rapids, Josh Philbrick (Tiffany) of Cedar Rapids and Frank Staton (Steph) of Greeley; and his siblings, Cloey Nickerson of Winthrop, David Staton (Lil) of Marion, Robert Staton (Donna) of Onalaska, Cleta Martin of Michigan, Billy Staton Sr. (Becky) of Oelwein, Gail Coleson (Richard) of Fairfax, Keith Staton of Woodward, Gary Staton (Sharon) of Marion, Leroy Staton (Debra) of Dunkerton, Zeta Nieman (Gary) of Manchester, Don Staton of Cedar Rapids and Terry Staton (Beckey) of Oelwein. He is also survived by 22 grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren.
