She was predeceased by: her parents, Fay Mewhirter and Grace Mewhirter (Johnson); her husband Curtis Smith; her grandson Curtis Troy Smith; her great grandchild Harlee Devane Stone; her siblings, Kathryn Witzman and Morris Mewhirter; and her brother-in-law Merritt Witzman.
She is survived by: her children, Steven Smith (Pat) of Northwood, Curtis "Mark" Smith (Beverly) of Albany, Nancy Cooley (Curt) of DeKalb and Susan Stone (Bruce) of Strawberry Point; and her sisters-in-law, Phyllis Mewhirter and Jane Leighton. She is also survived by ten grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren.
