It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Darlene Ann Wood of Strawberry Point, Iowa, born in Postville, Iowa, who passed away on January 30, 2023, at the age of 69, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her father Harold LaVernne; and her brother Arlyn Peterson. She is survived by: her mother Dorothy May Peterson (Kurth); her husband Carl Wood; her children, Tracy Wilker (Brent) of Waverly, Daniel Wood (Sara) of Richland Center, Carolyn Wood of Elkader and Tim Wood of Strawberry Point; her grandchildren, Brayden, Ella and Bryant Wilker; and her siblings, Allen Peterson (Julie), Darrell Peterson, Dennis Peterson and Julie Schlake (Paul). She is also survived by many nephews and nieces.
