It is always difficult saying goodbye to someone we love and cherish. Family and friends must say goodbye to their beloved Cheryl Lee Winter of Strawberry Point, Iowa, who passed away at the age of 69, on April 14, 2025. She was predeceased by: her parents, Bud Murphy and Sally Murphy (Higgins); and her siblings, Ray Murphy, Sheila Holcomb and Mike Murphy.
She is survived by: her husband Bill Winter of Strawberry Point; her sisters, Patty Webster of Cedar Rapids and Kelly Murphy (Randy Jones) of Cedar Rapids; and her siblings-in-law, Nancy Murphy of Winthrop, Chris Murphy of Independence, Billie Jean Kovalchek of Pennsylvania and Tom Holcomb of California. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews, and several step grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, April 22nd 2025 from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Wednesday, April 23rd 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Leonard-Muller Funeral Home (628 Commercial St, Strawberry Point, IA 52076). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, April 23rd 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
Cheryl is currently the President of the Strawberry Point Lions Club and is a recipient of the Iowa Lions Foundation Warren Coleman Award and the International Linos foundation Melvin Jones Award.
