He was predeceased by: his parents, LuVerne Angstrom and Maralyn Beal Angstrom. He is survived by: his wife Carol Jean Kessler; his friend Black Velvet; his children, Melissa Angstrom of Ames and Alan Angstrom (Jillian) of Fort Dodge; and his siblings, Stonna Nicholas (Paul), Alinda Lager (Robert), Janell Garvey (Denny), Craig Angstrom (Pat), Ivan Angstrom (Cindy) and Kevin (Cherie). He is also survived by three grandchildren.

Owen Angstrom, 71, of Stratford died from complications of COVID-19 on Thursday, October 22, 2020 at Select Specialty Hospital in Des Moines.

In lieu of flowers, memorial may be left in Owen's memory to his family.
