He was predeceased by: his parents, James Berten and Anna Morgan (Wendinger); his wife Verla Campbell; and his siblings, Alley, LaVerne, Charlene and Kathleen.
He is survived by: his children, Tim Morgan (Penny) of Boone, Virginia Bries (Gary) of Farley, Jackie Gatley (Steve) of Ankeny and Deb Westrum (Matt) of Stratford; his grandchildren, Sean Miller, Shannon Kaster (Larry), Jeff Bries, Jesse Bohlken (Ben), James Gatley, Steven Gatley, Julianna Gatley (Gus Moon), Adam Westrum (Amanda) and Alex Westrum (Jillian); his great grandchildren, Von, Asa Kaster, Michael, Maddox Bries, Natalie, Jenna Bohlken, Caleb Gatley, Morgan Moon, Lizzie and Aurora Westrum; and his sister Grace Wilhite of Denver, CO. He is also survived by extended family and friends.
