It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Dean Ahrens of Stratford, Iowa, who passed away on May 6, 2022, at the age of 90, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Andrew Ahrens and Clara Ahrens (Murkin); his grandson Alex; and his siblings, Edward, Lawrence, Warren, Ray, Jean, Dale and Iris Frazier.
He is survived by: his wife Ellen Lynch; his children, Jenifer Crim (Lowell) of Stratford, Julie Echelberger of Greeley Colorado and Brett Ahrens (Kristi) of Stratford; and his sister Ann Otte (Gene) of Clarinda, Iowa. He is also survived by 7 grandchildren, and 3 great grandchildren.
