He is survived by: his brother Construction; his sons, Brian Ahrens (Linda) of Madrid and Brook Ahrens (Julie) of Stratford; his grandsons, Tjaden Ahrens (Beth), Tyler Ahrens (Paige) and Dillan Ahrens; and his siblings, Jean Ahrens (Bonnie) of Boone, Dean Ahrens (Ellen) of Stratford and Ann Otte (Gene) of Clarinda. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
