He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter Ubben and Gladys Ubben (Johnson); his former wife Kathryn Ubben; and his children, Dale Ubben of Des Moines, Rick Ubben of Stanhope, Cindy Atkinson of Lake Jackson and Alan.
He is survived by: his siblings, Willis Ubben of California and Wanita Hall of Webster City; and his wife Barbara. He is also survived by many grandchildren, great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
