He was predeceased by: his father Emmet Peter; his sister Dawn Essing; and his brother-in-law Charlie Johnson. He is survived by: his mother Margaret Peter (Townswick) of Story City; his significant other Brenda Marshall of Story City; his siblings, Terry Peter of Florida and Dixie Johnson of Story City; his brother-in-law Bryon Essing of Pocahontas; and his nieces and nephews, Shane, Tiffany, Eric, Ashley, Caitlin, Luke, Emily, Kaleb and Heidy.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established in his name.
