He is survived by: his mother Barbara Colwell (Dodgen) of Humboldt; his wife Amy Rice of Story City; his sons, Christopher and Nicholas of Story City; his father Patrick Colwell; his brother Joe Colwell (Tracy) of Virginia Beach, VA; his parents-in-law, Russ and Peggy Rice of Dakota City; and his brothers-in-law, Tim Rice (Beth) of Waverly, Iowa and Cory Rice (Karla) of Bode. He is also survived by 4 nieces, 4 nephews, 1 great nephew, and 1 great niece.
