He was predeceased by: his stepson Denny Krumm; his grandson Troy Jacobson; and his sister Clara Falttebo. He is survived by: his spouse Beverly Noah of Rudd; his children, Jennifer, Denny and Karol; his wife Doris of Story City; his children, Cheryl Hoffman (Ron), Diane Larson (Kim) and Larry Mathre (Glenda); his stepdaughters, Jennifer Friedmeyer (Andy) of Ankeny and Karol Krumm (Vince Jasper) of Boone; his daughter-in-law Pam Krumm; his grandchildren, Stacey, Laura, Jill, Shelby, Layton and Heath; his stepgrandchildren, Abby, Lindsay, Jeff, Toby and Tracy; and his great grandchildren, Zac, Emily, Katelyn, Anne, Maggie, Charlie, Abbie, Nora, Harper, Xzavier, Kelby, Ava and Ashton.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Petri Lutheran Church or Story City American Legion.
