She was predeceased by: her father Larry Olson. She is survived by: her mother Alberta Olson (Michaelson) of Story City; her husband Dan Birchmier of Story City; her sons, Tanner (Jessica) of Story City and Cole (Kayla) of Radcliffe; her granddaughters, Rue and Poppi; and her brothers, Greg Olson (Jane) of Des Moines and Lance Olson (Shannon) of Maxwell.

Visitation was held on Saturday, January 11th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 1:30 PM and at 3:30 PM at the St. Petri Lutheran Church (804 Grand Ave, Story City, IA 50248). A celebration of life was held on Saturday, January 11th 2025 from 1:30 PM to 2:00 PM at the same location.
