He is survived by: his father Gary Carpenter of Story City; his wife Michelle Carpenter; his daughters, Mikayla and Lexi; his sister Kim Peterson (Jamie) of Ankeny; his parents-in-law, Dick and Miriam Gregory of Montezuma; his brother-in-law Brett Gregory (Traci) of Montezuma; and his nieces, Emma, Paige, Katelyn and Kerri.
