He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Ivar Mehl and Solveig Mehl; his children, Jeanie Stephens of Story City and Jon Mehl (Michelle) of Story City; his granddaughters, Monica Mehl, Krista Mehl and Kari Stephens; his sister Aase Marie of Rosendal, Norway; and his wife Martha Mehl. He was also cherished by many nieces and nephews.
