We are sad to announce that on August 1, 2022, at the age of 96, Ellen Julia Hougland (Story City, Iowa), born in Blairsburg, Iowa passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Sherman Larson and Mable Larson (Swenson); her husband Arlen Hougland; and her brother Herbert Larson (Velda). She is survived by: her sons, Steven (Lynn) and David (Cindy); her grandchildren, Nathan (Sarah), Tyler (Ali), Matthew (Megan), Garrett (Claudia), Sara (Gib) and Krista; and her great grandchildren, Jameson, Eleanor, Violet, Hans and Anders.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Immanuel Lutheran Church of Bethany Life Communities.
