He is survived by: his wife Pat Hoversten of Steamboat Rock, Iowa; his children, Larry Hoversten of Wellsburg, Mary Cary (Raymie) of Steamboat Rock, Chad Hoversten (Kayla) of Oregon, Daniel Thomas of Dows, Deb Kinnetz (Kenny) of Terrell, Doug Thomas (Judy) of Dows and Virgil Thomas Junior of Dows, Iowa; his siblings, Patty Hoversten, Janet Wing (Lyle), Glenda Rahfeldt (Ron), JoAnn Pelant (Robert) and Richard Hoversten; and his grandchildren, Glen McMan, Jamie McMan, Cade Hoversten, Kassidy Hoversten, Whitney Braun (Brandon), Madison VanHove (Ben), Tanner Schwichtenberg, Mandy Boler (Reece), Jessica Schwichtenberg and Austin Thomas. He is also survived by eleven great-grandchildren.
