It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Clara Ward (Steamboat Rock, Iowa), born in Bertha, Minnesota, who passed away on May 20, 2018, at the age of 94, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her husband Ernie Buthman; her son Eugene Buthman (Chalmer Ward); her siblings, Richard Elzig and Helen Lemke; and her siblings-in-law, Bob Lemke, Clarence Lindborg, Lydia Buthman, Aileen Elzig, Zelda Elzig and Elaine Elzig.

She is survived by: her spouse Chalmer Ward of Bertha; her children, Paul Buthman of Bisbee, AZ and Cheryl Anderson (David) of Dayton, MN; her grandchildren, Mike Anderson (Shannon) of Rogers, MN and Sara McElwain (Jon) of Champlin, MN; her great grandchildren, Brayden, Brody Anderson, Cooper and Luke McElwain; her siblings, Harold Elzig of Alameda, CA, Bob Elzig of Seldovia, AK, Francis Lindborg of Sarasota, FL and Ruth Davidson (Warner) of Phoenix, AZ; and her sister-in-law Eileen Elzig of Portland, OR. She is also survived by her step-children, step-grandchildren.
