With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Merlyn Schuler of State Center, Iowa, born in Colo, Iowa, who passed away on January 18, 2022 at the age of 84. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Russell Schuler and Lucille Schuler (Troutner); his wife Betty Lee Faircloth; his children, Melissa "Missy" Christensen (Rod) of Melbourne, Stacia Turner (Lennie) of Ames, Rene Fierce (Douglas) of Van Wert, Jeff Schuler of Melbourne, Erin Schuler of Brainerd, MN and Tony Schuler (Jamie) of Melbourne; his siblings, Morris Schuler (Elaine) of Albion and Eilene Jones (Richard) of Rhodes; his sister-in-law Jean Schuler of Marshalltown; his children, Merlyn Arthur, Celeste Marie and Angela Rene; his granddaughter Victoria "Tori" Fierce; and his brother Gerald "Joe" Schuler. He was also cherished by 16 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews and many close friends.
