He is survived by: his sons, Brian (Denise) of Rhodes, IA and Roger of Rhodes, IA; his wife Helen Beaty; his daughter-in-law Melanie Maddick of Newhall, IA; his daughter Sue Karsten (Arlin) of Swisher, IA; his grandchildren, David Maddick (Amber) of St. Peter, MO, Bethany of State Center, IA, Tyler Maddick (Breanne) of State Center, IA and Kelci Carpenter (Kyle) of Melbourne, IA; his great grandchildren, Laina, Cora, Mara, Kennedy, Avery, Caden, Kenzie, Kacie and Kip; his niece Kathy Giboney; and his siblings-in-law, Dr. Larry (Kathy Beaty) and Hatti Groth.
Memorials may be directed to Iowa River Hospice (Marshalltown), Orphan Grain Train (Clemons Iowa Branch), or Trinity Lutheran Church (State Center).
