He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Maxwell Sr. and Alma Simmons Coppess; his wife Patricia Crock; and his grandson Quentin Coppess. He is survived by: his children, Robert M. (Max), Michael W. (Sue) of Indianola, David L. (Deana) of Lake, W. Brent (Debbie) of Buffalo Grove, Brian B. (Patty) of Gunnison, Cameron S. (Becky) and Dawn Weiland (Tom) of Stanwood. He is also survived by 19 grandchildren; and 13 great grandchildren.

Memorials may be directed to Cedar Manor Nursing Home, Stanwood Union Church, Hegarty-Busching Legion, or sent to Dawn at: 410 Hwy. 38 Stanwood, Iowa 52337.
