He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, George and Martha (Lawviczack); his siblings, Art, Dick, Hank, Herman, George, Arnold, Norman, Elmer and Edna; his grandson Brent Daniel Johnson; his wife Karen Rae Grashorn of Stanton, IA; his children, Randall Grashorn of LaVista, NE, Bonnie Johnson of Red Oak, IA and Alan Grashorn of Red Oak, IA; his grandchildren, Cyndi O'Rourke (Michael), Tyler Grashorn (Liz) and Kaitlyn Niechwiadowicz (Mark); his great grandchildren, Hayes, Madden O'Rourke and Carter Grashorn; his sisters, Irene Hansen of Norfolk, NE and Betty Eucker of Madison, NE; and his sister-in-law Catherine Grashorn. He was also cherished by nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
