He was predeceased by: his parents, Duane Akers and Deloris Akers (Hoops); his daughter Mercedes Skye Akers; his brother Randy Akers; his niece Danette Harman; his nephew Shuan Akers; and his mother-in-law Linda Curry.
He is survived by: his wife Angela L. Akers; his children, Summer Akers (Bailey Stringer), Jessica Ferguson and Kodi Akers; his grandchildren, Scarlett Stringer, Miles Stringer, Trinity Turner, Anthony McDaniel, Lillian McDaniel and Christopher McDaniel; his siblings, Rick Akers, Deb Boyd (Chris) and Angie Akers; his nephew David Harman (Mollee); his great-nieces and great-nephews, Shaun Akers, Kendall Globe, Decklyn Harman, Maggee Mae Harman and Ava Lynn; his aunts and uncles, Gary Hoops (Chris), Junior Akers (Edna), Kim Woodle, Deloris Williams and Marilyn Hoops; and his father-in-law Neal Curry (Karen). He is also survived by many other relatives and friends.
