He was predeceased by: his parents, Arthur O. Arends and Verna Mae Arends (Read); his wife Lila Jean McLaughlin; and his brothers, Rodger and Rodney Arends.
He is survived by: his children, Randy (Peggy Arends), Steve (Bobbie Arends) and Kathy Arends; his sister Cleo Dell Henderson; and his sisters-in-law, Faye Arends and Martha Ann Arends. He is also survived by His six grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren.
