Maxine Halbach Obituary
We bid farewell to Maxine Halbach (Stacyville, Iowa), whose journey of life gracefully concluded on October 11, 2024 at the age of 97. Maxine touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. She was predeceased by: her parents, John Mueller and Elizabeth Mueller (Thome); her husband Leo Halbach; and her siblings, Cyrilla, Viola, Evelyn, Emil, John, Irene, Marvin and Lavern.
She is survived by: her siblings, Elmer Mueller (Mary), Delphin Mueller (Mary Ann), Anita Adams and Mary Mullenbach; and her children, Donald (Pam), Kevin (Patrice), Patrick (Margaret), Michael Myrna (Rhonda), Ernie (Sandy), Rita Gahr (John), Elizabeth Rodgers, Peter (Maren), Marie Cox (Tom), Paul (Michelle), Lawrence (Marya) and Laura Podergois (John). She is also survived by 30 grandchildren and 37 great-grandchildren, as well as, many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Friday, October 18th 2024 from 4:30 PM to 7:00 PM and on Saturday, October 19th 2024 at 10:00 AM at 604 N Broad St, Stacyville, IA 50476. A Mass will be held on Saturday, October 19th 2024 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the same location.
Memorials preferred to St. Edward's Catholic Church, Queen of Peace Catholic Church, or the Austin Salvation Army.
