She was predeceased by: her parents, Robert Smith and Ruby Smith (Campbell); her son-in-law Mike Hobkirk; and her grandson Colby Schmidtke. She is survived by: her children, Tom Schmidtke (Holly) of Mason City, Dale Schmidtke (Brenda) of Mason City, Danny Schmidtke of DeWitt and Suzie Hobkirk of Stacyville; and her sister Rozella Melancon (Bruce) of Lafitte, Louisiana. She is also survived by 11 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren.
