He is survived by: his sisters, Carolyn Gerdts (Bruce) and Margaret Buenger (Eugene) of Tripoli, IA.; his nieces and nephews, Jim Bartz (Kay), Ellen DeRycke (Dennis), Steve Nitardy (Terrie), David Rose, Mary Kellogg (Eric), Greg Buenger (Kendra), Jim Buenger (Kim), Mark Buenger, Carolyn Dawson (Dan), Henry Nitardy, Mike Gerdts (Denise), Lori Gerdts and Doug Gerdts (Coral); and his uncles, Joey, JoeJoe, Joseph and Joe.
