He was predeceased by: his father Vernon Goodale; his mother-in-law Marcella Walling; his brothers-in-law, Gary Foster, Dan Walling, Ken Walling and Todd Walling; and also Alpha Walling.
He is survived by: his wife Darla Goodale of Stacyville; his children, Erik Goodale of Ames and April Hannam (Ryan); his granddaughters, Grace, Jenna of Cedar Falls and Abby Goodale (Michael Palsic) of Mosinee, Wisconsin; his mother Marlene Goodale of Little Cedar; his sisters, Joyce Huisman of Forest City, Jolene Hemann (Gary) of Osage, JoAnn Huntley (Max) of Adams, Jeanette Mayer (Mike) of Stacyville, Janice Foster of Riceville and Jody Osmundson (Mark) of Adams, Minnesota; his father-in-law Darrold Walling of Marshall, Minnesota; and his siblings-in-law, Lon Walling (Jean) of Milroy, Minnesota and Marilyn Walling of Kennebec. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews and other extended family.
