He was predeceased by: his parents, James McQuown and Roeine McQuown (House); his wife Ruth Sullivan; his grandson Jamie Burnett; his brother Anthony John; and his siblings-in-law, Mary Lou McQuown, Bert Coleman and Ray Yonkovic.
He is survived by: his children, Peggy Burnett (Andy) of Lisbon, Paula McQuown of Springville, Allen McQuown of Springville and Eric McQuown (Malisa) of Marion; his grandchildren, Brandon, Dustin (Kayla) and Brittany Burnett (Alex Luerkins); his great grandchildren, Aundrea, Aleeya, Addison and Ashdyn; and his siblings, James McQuown of Longmont, Karene Yonkovic of Lisbon, Nancy Coleman of Marion and Gary McQuown of Cedar Rapids.
