He was predeceased by: his parents, Darl David and Marie Elizabeth Shadden (Depew); and his brother Roger Shadden (Evelyn "Mike" Shadden). He is survived by: his wife Susan Jane Cooper of Springville, Iowa; his children, Tovi Armstrong (Chris) of Springville, Chris Shadden (Lori) of Central City and Russell Shadden (Janet) of Cedar Rapids; his grandchildren, Zach Armstrong (Brittney), Cassandra Kubik (Jacob), Megan Mattingly (Ron) and Colton Shadden (Abby); his stepgrandchildren, Preston Reed (Amber), Ashley Reed (Josh Banes), Lauren Barron and Justin Abel; and his nephew Scott Shadden of Tama. He is also survived by 18 great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Dennis & Donna Oldorf Hospice House of Mercy.
