It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Dennis Allen Burgess of Springville, Iowa, born in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, who passed away on February 4, 2022, at the age of 74, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his father Harry Burgess; his father-in-law Gordon Orness; his brother-in-law Cary Orness; and his nephew T. J. Burgess. He is survived by: his mother Nora Burgess (Monserud) of Marion; his wife Michaelle A. Burgess of Springville; his children, Angela Burgess-Erkel of Marion, Walker Burgess (Kasey) of Anamosa and Chelsea McCurdy (Jim) of Marion; his grandchildren, Brennan Erkel, Wyatt Erkel, Camden Burgess, Hailey Erkel, Charlee McCurdy, Abel Burgess, Emma McCurdy, KoraLea Burgess and Tucker McCurdy; his brothers, Mark Burgess of Marion and Tim Burgess (Amanda) of Mesa, Arizona; his mother-in-law Bessie Orness of Marion; his brother-in-law Mike Orness (Barb) of Marion; and his pet Savannah Rose. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
