Smith Schuneman Obituary
We are sad to announce that on November 24, 2024, at the age of 88, Smith Schuneman (Spirit Lake, Iowa) passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
As we bid farewell to this cherished soul, solace is taken in the memories held dear — the laughter shared, the wisdom imparted, the moments of quiet reflection in their presence. Though Smith may no longer walk among us, his spirit lives on in the echoes of his kindness, the warmth of his embrace, and the light of his enduring love.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Raymond Schuneman (Art) and Olive Schuneman (Smith); and his son Thomas Schuneman. He is survived by: his wife Pat Schuneman (Ward) of Okoboji; his son Bill Schuneman; and his grandchildren, Logan Schuneman and Claire Schuneman.
He continued his involvement in various community organizations, including serving on the Board of the Okoboji Foundation and as a member of the "Friends of the Lakeside Lab" Board.
