He was predeceased by: his brother Keith Thomson (June) of Auburn, Washington; and his son David. He is survived by: his wife Patricia Thomson of Spirit Lake, Iowa; his daughters, Sandie Smith (Curt) of Spirit Lake, Iowa, Lisa Schuelka (Todd) of Ames, Iowa and Christina Anderson (Brian) of New York; his grandchildren, Elizabeth Araguas (Adrian), Emily Smith, Ellie Smith, Sirena Lindsay, Josiah Schuelka, Olivia Schuelka, Oliver Anderson and Annika Anderson; and his great grandchildren, Oscar and Bruno Araguas. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.
