He was predeceased by: his parents, Johnnie Peters and Jeanette Peters (Oldenkamp); his brother David Peters; his daughter-in-law Brenda Peters; and his grandchildren, Blake Robert Peters and Brittany Peters.
He is survived by: his wife Jean Pigg Dowhower; his children, Robb Peters, Alissa Smith (Mac), Melissa Lubinski (Vic), Mitch Dowhower (Sheena), Britni Harris (Jason) and Kristal Stewart (Lauren); his siblings, Sandra Miller (Jim), Ruth Recker (Steve) and Ron Peters (Barb); and his sister-in-law Kathy Peters. He is also survived by 18 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren.
