She was predeceased by: her parents, Ed Goodman and Nettie Goodman (Locey); her husband Merle Simpson; and her siblings, Rilma Jensen and Ed Goodman.
She is survived by: her brother Wayne Goodman; and her children, Ivan Simpson (Judy) of Spirit Lake and Sheryl Irvine (Jim) of Gary. She is also survived by numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, four great-great-grandchildren.
