It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Lavonne Esther Hansen of Spirit Lake, Iowa, born in Ocheyedan, Iowa, who passed away on November 7, 2024, at the age of 94, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Harold Paul and Thora May Hedges (Tritle); her husband Robert Lee "Archie" Hansen; her siblings, Lawrence Hedges and Mavis Bahde; her siblings-in-law, Pearl Manguson (Hansen), Marilyn Hedges and Verle Bahde; and her nephew Steven Manguson.
She is survived by: her sons, Kenneth (Leigh) of Los Angeles, California, Darrell of Spirit Lake and David (Cindy) of Spirit Lake; her grandchildren, Ronnie Hansen (Dora) of Royal, Melanie Hoque (Titon) of Elgin, Joshua Hansen (Lawanda) of Albuquerque, Matthew Hansen (Amy) of Elgin, Shari Hansen of Spirit Lake, Michael Hansen (Tiffany), Mildenhall, Kathryn Milbrandt (Ryan) of Ham Lake and Colin Hansen (Fiona Hansen); and her sisters, Mary Lou Youngdahl (Harold) of Milford and Joyce Krull (Erv) of Spirit Lake. She is also survived by fourteen great grandchildren and three great-great grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Monday, November 11th 2024 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Turner Jenness Family Funeral Home (1302 Hill Ave, Spirit Lake, IA 51360). A funeral service was held on Monday, November 11th 2024 from 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the same location.
