It is with great sadness that we announce the death of John J. Harmelink Sr. of Spirit Lake, Iowa, who passed away on December 28, 2024, at the age of 96, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
As we bid John farewell, let us not mourn the absence of his physical form, but rather celebrate the essence of his spirit that lingers in the spaces between moments. For John is not truly gone, but merely transformed, his energy intertwined with the fabric of the universe itself, forever dancing among the stars.
He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, John Harmelink and Kate Harmelink (De Jong); his spouse Beverly Dominick of Le Mars, Iowa.; and his sons, David of Fairmont, Daniel of Henderson, Douglas of Prior Lake and John Harmelink of Spirit Lake. He was also cherished by his wife, sons, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and a host of extended family.
