He was predeceased by: his parents, Dale Kness and LaVonne Kness (Selberg); and his brother David. He is survived by: his wife Sally Kness of Spirit Lake; his children, Jill Bonrud (Chris) of Spirit Lake and Darrin Kness of Spirit Lake; and his grandsons, Grady and Gannon Bonrud.
Visitation was held on Friday, December 6th 2024 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Robinson Funeral Home (2317 32nd St, Spirit Lake, IA 51360). A celebration of life was held on Saturday, December 7th 2024 at 10:30 AM at the First Presbyterian Church (3501 Hill Ave, Spirit Lake, IA 51360).
