He was predeceased by: his parents, Adrian Mellinger and Genevieve Mellinger (Thomes). He is survived by: his wife Judy Mellinger of Sperry; his children, Kevan Mellinger of Sperry and Dana Kipp (Brandon) of West Burlington; his grandchildren, Dylan and McKenna Kipp; and his sisters, Debbie Kennedy of Yarmouth and Connie Ralston (Tom) of Burlington. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and extended family.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established at the funeral home in memory of Steve.
