We are sad to announce that on September 30, 2024, at the age of 88, Donald Downer of Sperry, Iowa, born in Burlington, Iowa passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Maxwell D. Downer and Geneva Downer (Mester); his wife Mary June Housman; and his brother Maxwell D. Downer Jr.. He is survived by: his children, Kevin Downer (Suzanne) of Burlington, Doug Downer (Susan) of Florida and Melody Berenger (Duane). He is also survived by six grandchildren; eleven great grandchildren; and two great great grandchildren.
A memorial has been established in his memory for Des Moines County Animal Shelter.
