With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Verdis Dean Koehlmoos (Spencer, Iowa), who passed away on April 8, 2025 at the age of 88. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Fred Koehlmoos (Gertrude Koehlmoos) and Gertrude Koehlmoos (Meyer); his wife Carol Krahling; his siblings, Mildred Tesch, Marlene Koehlmoos, Phyllis Mouser (Jim) and Frank Koehlmoos; and his brothers-in-law, Jim Tesch and Jim Caster.
He is survived by: his daughters, Jodie Marlow (Bob Norem) and Marci Lowe (Tony); his grandchildren, Tyler Tatman (Jennifer Carter), Jason Marlow (Sara), Amanda Lawson (Nate), Jesse Tatman (Beth), Lindsey Baxter (Adam Quail) and Kelcie Ginger (Trey); his great grandchildren, Ali Marlow, Andy Marlow, Carson Mattson, Jacob West, Cassandra West, Ella Tatman, Kale Lawson, Mila Young, Tucker Tatman, Eyler Ginger, Charlotte Tatman, Archer Quail and Elodie Ginger; his stepgreat-grandsons, Jacob Lawson and Derek Lawson; his siblings, Shirley Tesch, Richard Koehlmoos (Barb), Pat Castor and Robert Koehlmoos (Betty); and his sisters-in-law, Mary Evans (Bill) and Delores Koehlmoos. He is also survived by many other relatives and friends.
Visitation was held on Monday, April 14th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 10:30 AM at the Christ the King Lutheran Church (500 4th Ave SW, Spencer, IA 51301). A funeral service was held on Monday, April 14th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Monday, April 14th 2025 at the Riverside Cemetery (1701 W 4th St, Spencer, IA 51301).
In lieu of flowers, memorials are to be directed to Christ The King Lutheran Church.
